The message of Surah Ash-Shams is that the sun, the moon, the sky, the earth, and all of divine creation are working together so that the human being can blossom, [pause] and through that blossoming, bring freshness and life to the entire universe. [pause] But this only happens when we act upon what has been inspired within us—when we recognize that certain things are bad and certain things are good—and through self-purification based on these truths, achieve an extraordinary and remarkable growth in this universe, Allah willing. [pause]
